Vacancy

As a Supplier & Partnership Specialist at Kompak, you are responsible for connecting customer requirements with the right suppliers and partners. You translate requests into clear purchasing specifications, actively search for suitable suppliers, and negotiate prices, delivery conditions, and quality. You stay sharp on market developments and contribute to finding alternatives or improvements in collaboration with departments such as R&D, Supply Chain, and Quality. In doing so, you continuously work on ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and services under the best conditions.

You work on a project basis to successfully implement customer requests, while also being involved in change management processes. In doing so, you monitor agreements made, manage quality, and coordinate price management with Sales and Business Development. You combine commercial and tactical thinking with a pragmatic approach, paying attention to the dynamics between the customer, the supplier, and internal processes.

You are part of the Business Development & Implementation department, an experienced team responsible for the flawless translation of customer requests into operations. Within this department, you will work with project managers, process specialists, and engineers who have been associated with Kompak for years and possess in-depth expertise. You are the linchpin between our project management team, sales, suppliers, and our customers. Your interlocutors will primarily be the project managers, the sales team, suppliers, and customers.

If you enjoy collaborating with different disciplines and find it a challenge to bring structure to the relationship between purchasing and commerce in a dynamic environment, then this is the job for you.

Firsthand experience

A customer has specific wishes and conditions for purchasing, but these cannot be fully realized. What do you do?

In this situation, you actively search for alternative solutions and suppliers that meet the customer's wishes, while remaining within feasible possibilities. You explain to the customer why certain requirements cannot be met and propose practical and innovative alternatives. In doing so, you combine your market knowledge with creative solutions and communicate clearly with both the customer and internal teams, such as R&D and Supply Chain, to arrive at a workable solution that is valuable to both the customer and Kompak.
