Vacancy

As a Project Manager at Kompak, you'll be responsible for coordinating and implementing the entire process for blending and packaging new products, primarily for leading brands in the European market. From the initial briefing to the evaluation after initial production, you'll lead the project and monitor every step of the process. You'll oversee the entire process: from selecting and purchasing raw materials and packaging materials to fine-tuning production processes and ensuring a smooth and timely launch. You'll also identify bottlenecks and make adjustments where necessary, ensuring every project has a successful outcome.

In this role, you'll combine project-based precision with operational involvement. You'll work on implementing changes to recipes, packaging, and processes, and actively contribute to improvements for existing customers. In addition to project planning, you'll prepare quotations for new orders, coordinating technical possibilities and costs with colleagues in Engineering, Sales, and Processing. You'll frequently meet with clients to discuss the progress of new or ongoing projects and internally you'll collaborate closely with various departments to ensure coordination. You'll maintain an overview and ensure deadlines are met, whether this involves updating actions in the planning program or coordinating testing and validation.

You'll be working in a multidisciplinary team where collaboration is key. The team consists of a Sales Director and the CEO, both active in sales, a Business Development/Project Manager (your supervisor), two Project Managers, and a Project Support Officer. The team is characterized by an open, results-oriented culture where initiative is valued and knowledge is shared. Together, you'll ensure that projects run smoothly and clients can count on reliable and professional execution.

If you enjoy working with packaging, connecting different disciplines, and find it a challenge to organize multiple projects simultaneously and bring them to a successful conclusion under time pressure, then this is a job for you.

Working week

Project Manager

On a good workday, you have time in the morning to catch up with colleagues and plenty of time to work on projects and proposals. It's especially rewarding when a validation or pilot project is successful and you can celebrate the result with the team.

On a less enjoyable workday, you're constantly juggling ad-hoc tasks that demand immediate attention, and you have to fight multiple fires simultaneously. This leaves little time for structured project and planning work.

Firsthand experience

You're going to mix a new recipe for the first time next week, and your supplier just informed you that one ingredient won't be delivered on time. What do you do?

In this situation, you first consult with the supplier to determine the cause of the delay, when delivery can still take place, and whether alternative delivery routes are possible. Then, you check whether the customer has approved the alternative ingredient and request them from the suppliers as soon as possible. You review the schedule to determine whether mixing can be postponed and discuss the situation with the customer so that any inventory or other resources can be utilized. This ensures that the project is delayed as little as possible and that product quality is maintained.
