Vacancy

As a Mixing Operator at Kompak, you are responsible for operating and adjusting the various mixers. You ensure that orders are properly prepared, ingredients are dosed accurately, and the quality of the final products is maintained. In doing so, you provide an optimal start to the production process.

In this role, you monitor and document the production process, ensuring that work instructions and safety procedures are correctly followed. You are also responsible for safeguarding the quality of the end product. You continuously work on process improvements and report any deviations to your Supervisor. Together with your fellow mixers, the Mixing Supervisor, the Processing department, and the Technical Service team, you take care of your work area and ensure that the workspace is always safe and tidy—for example, by cleaning the mixing equipment, the production cell, and its immediate surroundings. Lastly, you are responsible for recording and coordinating the storage of the products.

You are part of the Mixing team, which consists of six Liquid Mixers, two Liquid Connectors, and four Powder Mixers. All team members work in either a two- or three-shift system, and you report to the Team Leader Production.

If you enjoy working with complex processes and don’t mind strictly following safety regulations, then this is the job for you.

Operator Mixing

On a good day, everything goes according to plan and you have a great time with your colleagues. At the end of your shift, you have a brief meeting with your Supervisor and go home feeling satisfied.

On a less pleasant day, a major breakdown occurs. You have to wait a long time for the Technical Service team and as a result, you need to put all your products back into storage. When you can finally get back to work, you are significantly behind schedule.

Firsthand experience

Just as your shift starts, the system goes down. What do you do?

Occasionally, the system may go down. At such times, you and your colleagues inform the Mixing Supervisor, who then contacts the Technical Service team. Until the issue is resolved, unfortunately, you cannot start mixing.

Usually, there are several other tasks you can do in the meantime. For example, tidying up or cleaning your workspace. If the downtime lasts a long time, you need to return products to storage. Unfortunately, your preparation will have been in vain. You also need to prepare a new order. Depending on the size of the backlog, you create a new schedule and start working on it with motivation.
